Hello. I propose to enter captcha when adding the first 10 posts in the newbie forum. This fence us from flooding.
newbie forum? this forum is gigantic.. since i have no clue what the heck a captcha is, im guessing its a post block. there is no "flooding" in CFM. Likespams have been stopped, and you cannot post One word posts. I don't see where there would be flooding. "First" in meaning you mean the new users? They would be reported if they one word post or spam, and possibly get banned if they repeatedly do this. Flooding is pretty much blocked.
You wrote that users can confirm via e-mail, BUT then they can start to post! Thank you for reading my idea.
CFM already has something to stop spam. You have a 20 second cooldown between every post. I'd personally prefer something longer for actual forum posts, but captcha's are incredibly annoying.
Captcha irritating, that is true, it is true, but this is another safety net from the attack of a flood
I think we deal with the spam well. If I was a newb and I had to enter captcha every time I post something (even though it would be only a few first posts) I would stop posting because I find it reeeaaallly annoying
I don't see why we need this, when we already have a method to deal with spam. And wh would we need a captcha? That's to test if the poster is a human or not and most people on cfm are humans. -1 cuz really not needed.
No. We don't need Captcha in forums. Like Sabusha said, it would be annoying. And mostly it's hard to read the image.
