Edit:And if those who can't get fraises and win them in bootcamp, the fun of having colors would disappear,it would be useless, and Transformice could close...this happened on a site when I was 8 or 9.

Fraises = Paid
Cheese = Earned

I don't like this idea, because:
1. The fraises was made to be bought, so atelier 801 could get money.
2. There would be no point in having cheese/fraises if you could just earn both of them.
3. There would be no point in earning cheese, if you could earn fraises in 1/10 of the time

They would have been making some money from donations when they had them open, but they made fraises to reward people who wanted to donate. (also removed the old donation function they had). It seems they then made the fraises cheap compared to cheese to encourage more money.

Even though I have no patience whatsoever for bootcamp, I'm pretty sure there will be a handful of people who can and eventually will end up abusing the room for easy pickings. Luckily you didn't say racing, otherwise everybrazilian and their grandmother would be camping in those rooms.

This is not gonna work.
I mean seriously , why would they create fraises anyways? The main reason they created them is because some people don't have enough cheese and they have the chance to pay for fraises and buy more stuff.
+ If they make it like that they wont get money anymore, i bet.

Buy the fraises then..

If it was better before the fraises update, then dont bother with getting a fraise. If you're complaing about how it isnt fair, it isnt fair for the people that already bought them and the fraises will be free.

I think that was a little harsh, Poly. Instead of shooting down his idea, offer constructive criticism instead! Personally, because I suck at bootcamp, I think this could be a good idea, with a few tweaks.

1.) You get 1 Fraise for every FIRST PLACE on a BC map. (This way, even if you finish twice, you are only credited one fraise.)
2.) There is a 10 or 15 or 20 Fraise per day limit. This would prevent the BC pros from hoarding Fraises to spend at free will.

I think this is smart actually, but only make it available in Bootcamp+. Hear me out: This will encourage more players (especially noobs who want fraises) to participate in bootcamp maps, which will make everyone get a lot better in the end. This will make TFM more competitive in general, and ergo more fun! Competition is always fun

Also, if they give out fraises very sparingly, it allows people to get a taste of them to try them out, but is definitely not productive enough for a player to customize an entire outfit with. When a color costs 300 fraises, if you have a 10 fraise a day limit on BC+, it would take you 30 days minimum to unlock a new color. Even with a 20 fraise limit, it would take 15 days for a color if you were really good at BC.

So when people are exposed to small amounts of fraises, and get to spend them on one or two customizations, they will see how fun having fraises is, but they will realize that BC+ is not efficient enough to quickly get them all the items that they want, and they will revert to spending money to buy the fraises. This strategy would work out PERFECTLY for tig and mel.

Still not good. People who are BC pros are so for a reason. they go there all the time, it's what they do, it's how they play. So they'd get the bonuses all the time. Good idea with only the one room, or people can play singl eplayer and just move rooms to change map to an easier room. BUT Having only one room means a LOT of people coming to one room, and as with the fraise event we can see how laggy that can get. Some people couldn't even make the first jump, let alone get all the way to the top. I even had to go to some foregn server that didn't even use anything that looked like letters to me just to get it, and there were STILL about 60-70 people there. Most of them were fellow smartasses who decided this server'd be less laggy. So even with that, I'll have to say no. Maybe if it's just 1st in bootcamp maps on normal rooms, and make sure no shamans on those maps. Then it'll have random chance appearing(meaning rarer), while still being in every room. And you still have to be skilled/quickk to get a fraise. And anyone playing can get it, not just people who want to solely play bootcamp maps.

Getting fraises for free just for finishing a few maps seems pointless to me - after all, fraises were meant to earn the devs some money...

That would totally defeat the purpose of having those two "currencies". For example, if someone wanted to buy something that's cheaper in fraises (like an item customisation), they would just convert their cheese to fraises (which means, no money for the developers). On the other hand, "pros" would rage because some new player could buy fraises, convert them to cheese and buy out the whole shop.

Now what I'm expecting are fraise-rewards from the "official" map making, bc etc. contests.. I think that it could be arranged one way or another, just like the existing cheese rewards. Also, stakes would get high, since you could essentially earn money this way.

Wouldn't work out for Transformice at all or Atelier801. Atelier801 needs money for improving Transformice, but if they don't get money they can't do so. Fraises encourage people to buy them for special things because it is cheaper to use. They were generous enough to give out 20 free fraises to probably more than 40% of the players who are active. Making it easy to get fraises destroys the purpose of them. Farming cheese is harder, but you'll have to do it if you can't buy fraises. There is a chance that Atelier801 will have another free fraise event, but it is not guaranteed that it will happen. I'd say a 5% - 10% chance that some other time there will be more free fraise events.

It's actually F2P , just their choice to buy Fraises. . . Fraise has the same function as cheese, to buy / customize stuffs. Just that, Fraises is less amount required but it needs money. So, for those who want F2P , take the longer way to buy & customize (by cheese) , short time > P2P Fraise .

True and I like the idea of fraises even though I don't want to spend money on it. It's just the part of Atelier801 improving Tfm with the money they receive.
