When did you start playing Transformice? How did you find it?
I found Transformice in late June 2010, after reading a review at jayisgames.com, a site that is focused on reviewing casual games. With an user rating of 4.88/5 and those screenshots with cute looking mice, I had to try it out, and never stopped playing since then :] First days on EN1, but some day EN1 was full and I logged in on EN2, which I never left.
What are your favorite shop items?
The gasmask (I like to roleplay as a vacuum cleaner when I am wearing one x]), Elvis hair and the jester hat. Shame you can't wear all three at once :D
Any memorable moments from Transformice?
Multiple, but the best one was beating Outsiders in a tribefight, just felt so amazingly awesome, even though it wasn't their top team <3 We spammed the tribe chat of joy afterwards x]
WASD or arrow keys?
Arrow keys for the win!
Favorite aspect of TFM (bootcamp, shaman, etc)?
I am not sure if you call tribes an aspect of TFM, but if you do, tribes. I started losing fun in playing transformice some months ago, but the tribe system made it just so much better :] Having hilarious tribe chat conversations is really fun, for example :D If you don't call this an aspect of TFM, vanilla it is :>
Which of the vanilla maps is your favorite?
How long did it take you to learn how to wall jump? (be honest :p)
Hmm, I can't really remember. Somewhere between 1 and 2 months I guess :] As soon as I knew about the 'you must be going downwards upon hitting the wall'-thing, it didn't take long.
If Meli and Tig had a shaman battle, who would win?
Tig of course >:]
How was your tribe formed?
As the Cookie Monsters is, for as far as I know, the oldest tribe of Transformice, it was founded way before the actual tribe system was here. To be exact; the 10th of July. As I enjoyed being guild leader on other games, I got the idea to start an unofficial guild at Transformice as well. I talked about it with friends and they liked it, and soon we had a name and a forum :] Later we decided to call ourselves a tribe, as it suits the theme with mice and shamans. Mel and Tig are Copycats ^^
What is the origin of your username?
I wish I could remember x3 I am using this username ever since I started playing Runescape as a 10 years old kid, and got really used to it. 'Juul' is from Julian, my first name, and well, for some reason I decided to add 'power' to it.
What is your worst fear?
I guess that would be losing a loved one, but it is not like I am afraid of that to happen all the time :] I am a true optimist and never have much worries.
What was your favorite TV show as a kid?
Were you a well-behaved a child or a trouble maker?
A well-behaved child of course :3
What is your favorite type of cheese?
Milner Extra Gerijpt, but I am afraid most non-Dutchies have no idea what it is :D It is ripened cheese, unripened cheese is just way too soft and slimy, yuk. So is melted cheese, even more yuk :<
Do you have any pets?
I have one cat called Jolie (French for Pretty, Sweet and Nice). She is 8 years old and really cute <3 Though she currently has a virus infection in her nose which makes her nose look really weird and big :< Poor her. Sometimes she sits on me while I am playing transformice, all purring ^^ Luckily she doesn't try to catch the mice moving all around at my pc's screen :D
What are your favorite video games?
My favorites change all the time, but currently; Transformice, Gemcraft: Labyrinth and everything Nitrome creates (nitrome.com). I am also a big fan of MMORPGs :D
What are your hobbies outside of TFM?
Playing other games, creating my own games, reading and playing tabletennis
What kind of games do you create?
Although I am planning to make my job of it, I am only 16 years old and don't have that much experience in creating games yet. I am still in the 'remake simple games' stage. Many of the games I start creating do not get finished, mostly because I know exactly how it is going to be when done and I do not feel like spending weeks on realising that. The biggest game I finished so far is a remake of 'achtung die kurve!'; a very simple game at which the players control lines that get longer every second. Your mission is a simple one; do not run into another player or into a wall. I expanded it with lots of options for more variation in gameplay and it is great fun playing it with friends ^^ I am almost good enough to start finishing games based on my own ideas... these will mostly be RPGs as I am, as I said, a big fan of (MMO)RPGs =)
What are you currently reading? Favorite book?
Currently I am not reading any book as I was really busy with school last weeks. Most books I read are fantasy books, often coming in trilogies. If a book is really good, I can just keep reading until I am done reading it =) I do not really have a favorite... I like them all ^^
What is some of your favorite music?
According to others, I have a strange music style x] I mainly listen to music without someone singing in it... I just like it better. Game music sometimes, or everything animusic creates (example; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ahoqR6OGdM
). If I listen to music with someone singing in it, it is mainly older music, like music from Guns 'n Roses :]
What junk food are you guilty of indulging on?
What is one thing you can't live without
Coffee or tea?
Cats or dogs?
Although I like dogs as well, I will have to go for cats ^^
