When did you start playing Transformice? How did you find it?
I don't remember precisely, but I found TFM on Polish 4chan-like site in the summer-holiday time.
How did you get involved with the Transformice staff?
I was creating insane amounts of maps back then and was active in the map editor board, I also choose EN2 as my home server. I was showing my creations to Whoever, he was hardly convinced to perm any map (those were days when permanent map standards were much higher than now - sigh) yet he liked many of my designs and while testing we could talk about various things tfm and life related ;) He noticed my activity on the map editor forum, good taste for maps ;p and that I spend a lot of time on EN2 while there were no mods online, so he proposed being a mod to me.
How long have you been a mod?
I'm not sure actually, but I think it's like 3-4 months now.
Favorite aspect of TFM?
People I like, especially from my tribe and some other mods ;) As for gameplay I love rushing for firsts. I was also crazy abut map making, but I somehow lost my enthusiasm for this.
What elements do you like to put in your maps?
I love big mechanisms that are the main part of the map, I like creating unique designs ;)
What map are you most proud of ?
I think http://firstname.lastname@example.org
"your TURN") is my best design
I like http://email@example.com
"DROPPING difficulty 2") too. DROPPING difficulty 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EpRQIrLvDU
) was more intuitive for the title, but was destroyed on asseble too often. The second version is valid in polar coordinates ;p Needs to be improved with IF which i didnt know back then.
What map was most frustrating for you to make?
Old feeling, I cant remember now, but I'm sure I raged on some of the maps ;p But DROPPING difficulty 2 is one of them (see above) - I had to improve the locking mechanism so many times just to see it fail in public test every time...
Which of the vanilla maps is your favorite?
Oh... ummm, well..... They are all almost the same ;) I can clearly tell which maps I hate though. I think that map 40 is one of my favorites because there are so many scenarios for getting first with unpredictable shaman actions.
How long did it take you to learn how to wall jump?
It was too long ago to remember, but I think I got it pretty quick, however I still suck at WJ with cheese ;p
Favorite/least favorite part of being a mod?
I like helping players and of course banning cheaters (I dont call them hackers, because hacking requires skill, not just copying some ideas shown on youtube or described on forums), I also like the fun that playing music and loading maps can provide ;)
I dislike the organization of the permanent maps and that no one can handle it (I barely perm any map because I have high standards, but there are mods that just perm any semi-art crap or friend's requests...). I provided descriptions of various solutions for permanent maps situation improvement, but looks like this issue is not a high priority one ;p I'm also disappointed in the communication between different servers.
What is the origin of your username?
Since I came here from 4chan-like site, I choose some random word - decided to use name of a vegetable I hate - cauliflower (kalafior in polish).
What junk food are you guilty of indulging on?
If pizza is junk food then it's my chocie, other than this I like tortillas and chinese food ;)
More problems with my MSc degree at university and/or problems with finding a good job in the field of physics science ;p
What was your favorite TV show as a kid?
Show? I don't think I liked any show, but I loved Disney's cartoon series like Gummibears, Winnie the Pooh, Alladin, Rescue Rangers...
Were you a well-behaved child or a trouble maker?
Depends on what age, I was usually trying to be a good one, but sometimes we had to do something unusual with friends to don't die out of boredom. Crazy times I must say, I think that proper answer for this question is 50:50.
What are your hobbies outside of TFM?
Depends for what I'm blessed with creativity ;) I like photography, 3d graphics, programming. Driving my car (especially off-road) and travelling could be considered a hobby too, but I can't focus on those too much because of the monie$ needed for this ;p
I'm a bit weird here as I don't listen to music for my pleasure at all. But I'm ok with pretty much anything but techno, dnb, hh, disco polo and country ;) I think that a song from any genre can make me like it, it just need to have something special for me, but I can't define what is it :p
My playlist for TFM rooms is almost entirely filled with internet music for lolz and trollz
Cats or dogs?
