Transformice Questions

When did you start playing Transformice? How did you find it?
Well, I remember it was around the time the E3 buzz was going on, so I'd say late May of 10'. I found out about it through 4chan, since people kept making threads about it. Back then there was no English servers, so we would annoy all the French people. I'm quite sure they would curse at us in French.

How did you get involved with the Transformice staff?
Well, this account is actually an alt, but on my main account I was very very active on the forums (I held the title of highest post-count for quite a while on the old forums).
I would actively report and correct wrong doers of the forums. And..well...I....asked to be Sentinel. Of course most would tell you that that's a major NO-NO, but I went ahead and asked arrogantly anyway. One of the Smods at the time said they'd keep me noted, weeks later another mod put in the good word for me and bam, I got Sentinel.

How long have you been a sentinel?
I got Sentinel on January 14th, 2011. I remember because it was 3 days before my birthday, so more than 2 months.

What are your favorite shop items?
Hmm, I quite enjoy the skull mask, sunglasses and winter scarf combo on my main account. Though on this account I just go with the round glasses and green scarf. If I had to pick one favorite item I'd go with the skull mask.

Any memorable moments from Transformice?
For some reason most of the memories I have are about the drama that goes down. The most memorable drama moment I can recall would be when mass bannings happened in my home-room, and everyone retaliated on the forums causing more bans. But, the most memorable fun moment would be when almost everyone in my home room dressed in the same outfit I was wearing. Good times.

WASD or arrow keys?
BOTH. No, really, I use both at the same time. I have trouble playing with just one hand. Usually one hand controls jumping/ducking, and the other controls left/right.

Favorite aspect of TFM (bootcamp, shaman, etc)?
Right now I would say Totems. Totems are the most useful tool for any troll. Usually I go with a house shaped Totem with no exit and trap as many mice in there as I can and hold a house-party with much dancing.

Which of the vanilla maps is your favorite?
I would say map 19, since I usually get first on that map.

How long did it take you to learn how to wall jump? (be honest :p)
That's hard to say. I remember trying and trying for about 4 days, but I still couldn't get it. So, I just said "screw this" and played normally for a week. After that I tried walljumping and then I got it. Strange how things work out like that.

Favorite/least favorite part of being a sentinel?
My favorite part of being a Sentinel is being able to keep the forums clean. Back when I wasn't a Sent I would get annoyed at how long it took to get a response for a reported thread/post, but now I just take care of it myself. My least favorite part is when my friends act up. As a Sent it's my job to take care of bad-eggs, but they're still my friends and I feel like that's betraying them. But still, other Sents pick up the slack for that, and in some cases I ask other mods to punish them for me. But hey, I try to be fair with everyone.

What is the origin of your username?
Well, when I was promoted to Sentinel I wanted to use a name that fits as a rule-enforcer. Who better than Kneesocks from the anime Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt? If you haven't seen this anime, Kneesocks is all about RUUUURRUUUSS. But, of course, someone took the original "Kneesocks" before me, so I just added a "u" at the end, making it "Kneesocksu." It isn't that bad though, since that's how they say it in the anime anyway.

Who's your favorite mouse in-game?
To be honest, I can't pick just one. I have a lot of favorites...let's see if I can remember them all. Froggy, Orgam, Klebby, Kelsey, Poo, Butts, Cats, Ploosle, Tacos, Ace, Vidya, Fuk, God, Snip, Chinin, Kirb, Lul, Dookie, Steve, David, Skitts, Rybe, Adllel, Rep, Red, Dino, Deyo and anyone else I forgot. I love you all. (All in no particular order, and also no full names used.)

How long did it take to become decent at being shaman?
I...never really tried to be a decent Shaman. I just saw Shamming as trolling opportunities. Of course I learned how to use all the items via trolling, so I can be a good Sham if I wanted to. It's just more fun to annoy people.

How much time to you spend playing Transformice and/or in the forums per day, on average?
I play about once a day or every other day for about 3 hours or more each time. It depends on how many of my friends are signed on.

Random Questions

Any siblings?
Yes, one brother whom kinda hates my guts. But hey who doesn't have sibling revelry?....except this one has kinda lasted 7 years and he hasn't talked to me once in all that time.

Worst fear?
Syringes and being buried alive. You have no idea how much I freaked out during that Saw movie when they threw the girl into the pit of syringes. Nasty stuff.

What was your favorite TV show as a kid?
Tough call, I liked a lot of TV cartoons in the 90's, but I would say it lays somewhere between Batman: The Animated Series, Sailor Moon, and Thundercats.

What is your favorite type of cheese?
Mmmmhhh, Mozzarella cheese. I love buying the string cheese sticks at the grocery and eating it slowly.

Any pets?
Lots, actually. 6 cats (Patches, Jeri, Smoky, Baby, Yuki, Zoe), 2 goldfish (Porkchop, Angel), 1 albino frog (Frogger), 2 rats (Joanna, Christine), 2 dogs (Sugar, La Puppie), 3 birds (Joey, Chirp, Monica). That makes a total of 16 pets. We love our animals around here.

Hobbies outside of TFM?
Lots of that too. Mainly I love drawing and painting. I actually got a job mentoring middle/high school kids in art. I also love doing papercraft, since paper models amaze me for some reason. I also collect action figures, read comic books and play video games.

What junk food are you guilty of indulging on?
Pudding. I love pudding. Chocolate pudding especially. It's always pudding.

One thing you can't live without?
My computer. That sounds a bit psycho, but I got my life saved on here. I have scans of all of my drawings/paintings, saves of all of my digital work, pictures dating from years back that I'd like to keep, all of my music, wallpapers, fanart, games, ect. I love this freakin' thing.

Coffee or tea?
I only like Coffee when it's iced. But, I LOVE sweet tea as well. I guess I can go either way as long as it's cold.

Cats or dogs?
I own both and I love them both. Though some of my cats are a bit hissy.

Mac or PC?
Both....again. I own a Mac, but I have both OSX and Windows 7 installed on it. But, mostly I use the OSX side for general stuff. I only sign on Windows when I'm playing Steam games or need to run a program that I can't use on the OSX side (there's only 2 of them). But, I wouldn't pick one over the other because I don't care for computer wars.

Favorite color?
Blue. I love blue, I look good in blue, I like blue. But I also look good in purple or gray....hm.

Anything else you want to tell the world?
Don't drink more than 4 Four-Loko's at a time, and look I make art things.
