Transformice Questions

When did you start playing Transformice? How did you find it?
I couldn't really tell you an exact date, but it was way back in the summer of last year. Maybe around July or so?

I thought it was pretty fun - why the hell else would I have stuck around?

How did you get involved with the Transformice staff?
I joined the official forums pretty much as soon as they went live, and got to work being a massive asshole to pretty much anyone who couldn't string two posts together. I guess I must have been doing something right, because I eventually received a PM: "Want to be a Sentinel?"

How long have you been a sentinel?
I was contacted early February, so nearly two months I guess?

What are your favorite shop items?
The beret was the very first item I bought, and I've pretty much never removed it. It goes well with my scarf and screams "HIPSTER".

Any memorable moments from Transformice?
There was a glorious moment where, as shaman, I murdered an entire room with two red anchor-boards and a balloon. Map 81, in case you're wondering.

WASD or arrow keys?
WASD for shaman (which produces hilarity if I have to walljump - I'm right-handed), arrow keys for mouse.

Favorite aspect of TFM?
Honestly, I don't really enjoy bootcamp, custom maps, or playing as shaman. I just like playing the regular vanilla maps as a normal mouse - much more chaos.

Which of the vanilla maps is your favorite?
Map 81, see above for why.

How long did it take you to learn how to wall jump? (be honest :p)
Couple of months at least - I still have trouble with it sometimes, especially when carrying cheese.

Favorite/least favorite part of being a sentinel?
The best part is being able to make terrible posters shut the fuck up before they hurt themselves.

The worst part is that every time I hand out an infraction, I get a PM to the tune of "OMG WHY U WARN ME I HATE U".

Oh, and the constant PMs from idiots that don't know what the report button is for.

Oh, and having to read and respond to every dumbass post as part of my job.

In your professional opinion, who is a better player: Meli or Tig?
Haven't really seen either of them play, so I couldn't tell you for sure. However, Artbros before hoes, so Meli would win.

What is the origin of your username?
"Manco" is a pseudonym used by The Man With No Name in Sergio Leone's For a Few Dollars More. I love the character, so I used the same name.

It's also the name of an Incan god.

Oh, and there's that UrbanDictionary definition, but that's hardly appropriate to talk about here.

Who's your favorite mouse in-game?
Nothing quite like trading insults with Aresinferno. Shame he doesn't log on a whole lot any more.

Favorite / least favorite update?
Just after the Tribes update came out, there was a period when I'd get invited to one by every goddamn stranger that waltzed past.

My favourite update was the option to select what font the chat appeared in, because I'm a huge typography nerd.

So what's your favorite font, then?
My favourite font family is either Klavika, Helvetica or Zegoe, which is based on Segoe UI

How long did it take to become decent at being shaman?
Not too long; definitely less time than it took to learn to walljump. Maybe a couple of weeks or so?

How does it feel to be nominated to be interviewed by other Transformice mice?
Kind of weird - why the shit would people waste a vote to read me vomit words into a text document?

How much time to you spend playing Transformice and/or in the forums per day, on average?
I don't spend a whole lot of time on the game any more; maybe an hour or so per week.

On the other hand, I spend an absurd amount of time dicking around on the forums. Probably six or seven hours a day, although a lot of that would be just having the page open in the background while I do other crap.

Any siblings?
I have a sister that I don't see very much, but that's it.

Worst fear?
I'm not really afraid of anything per se, but I avoid having needles shoved in my veins whenever possible.

What was your favorite TV show as a kid?
Ed, Edd n Eddy was a fantastic piece of animation and it makes me sad that it's finished.

Were you a well-behaved a child or a trouble maker?
Sickeningly well-behaved.

What is your favorite type of cheese?
Halloumi.

NOPE

Hobbies outside of TFM?
I do enjoy me some graphic design. Seeing some of the amazing work people produce on a daily basis is fantastic.

Also webcomics, video games and movies.

Favorite music?
My iPod is basically 50/50 video game soundtracks and "Alternative Rock".

I think the soundtracks have a higher play count.

What junk food are you guilty of indulging on?
I am right now eating a bowl of gummies.

I also eat a retarded amount of pizza.

One thing you can't live without
Most of what I do in terms of work and entertainment is done through computers/internet, so yeah I'm gonna say those.

Coffee or tea?
Tea please; two sugars and milk.

Cats or dogs?
Not really a fan of either, but I guess cats are friendlier to me.

Mac or PC?
I work with Macs on a regular basis and hate the living shit out of them.

My home desktop and laptop both run on Windows 7, and I'm a much happier person for it.

Favorite color?
It's a mashup between blue and orange. I like both equally, especially when they're together.

Also, CMYK will always be close to my heart.

Anything else you want to tell the world?
I have an unhealthy love of scarves.
