Transformice Questions
When did you start playing Transformice? How did you find it?
I started playing Transformice on June 21st, 2010. A number of my regular sites had posted about this game, and I kept ignoring them. Finally after
Kotaku talked about it and posted the famous Meet the Mouse video, I decided to give the game a try. I've been playing it everyday since.
How did you get involved with the Transformice staff?
Because I joined the staff so long ago, the method I used to join it is no longer valid. So, I would rather not share how I became a moderator.
How long have you been a mod?
189 days.
In your professional moderator opinion, who is a better player: Meli or Tig?
Oh, that's a mean question! Hmm... I'm going to have to go with Ley.
What is the origin of your username?
I have used the name Link as an alias in games for as long as I can remember. About 14 years ago, when I first started going online, I realized that I would need a new name that was not taken everywhere. First I tried to use MasterLink, but that was still taken on many websites. After that, I moved to TrueLink. At the time, it was not taken anywhere except on AOL Instant Messenger (by a guy who has been using it since the 80's). Now it's taken in many places, but I still use it. It's my name now.
What are your favorite shop items?
There are so many!

My favorite released item, individually, has to be the Megaman helmet. I'm a huge Megaman fan. However, I like most of the other items, and I have a few costumes I switch between. Meli really does good work on our outfits.
What is the best excuse you've heard from someone asking for an unban?
Any excuse that contains more information than, "can i haz unban????"
Any memorable moments from Transformice?
One of my most fond memories was being on the Kongregate server right after it opened. It was full of what I affectionately call "hatless". I went from room to room helping people learn the basics of how to play and how to be a shaman. It was a lot of fun and I like to think that I helped create a lot of long-term players.

I kept a bunch of messages that explained the steps to building things in sticky notes on my desktop for months.
I like that! You should start the trend of calling people "hatless" instead of "noob" XD
I still call them that.
Favorite aspect of TFM?
Definitely playing as a shaman.
Do you play in the shaman room often?
Not that often. I just kinda drift from room to room.
Which of the vanilla maps is your favorite?
Map 16, I invented a nice way to beat this map that I still like doing today.
How long did it take you to learn how to wall jump? (be honest :p)
About a week, maybe two. Shortly after starting playing I became friends with Eggs and Scottish. I could immediately tell that they were better than most players and knew more tricks. So, I would watch them as we played and learned how to do a lot of things based on how they moved.
Favorite/least favorite part of being a mod?
My favorite part is helping people. It may sound cheesy, but I really enjoy doing things that help other people than myself. My least favorite part is probably that I rarely get to actually play the game anymore, and I almost never get to shaman because I get called out of a room often.
